Statistics of Bima Regency conducts the 2021 Integrated Agricultural Survey
November 23, 2021 | BPS Activities
The need for more complete, better, cheaper and faster statistical data in agriculture is widely recognized. Progress in accessing information has further created gaps in the agricultural data produced. In line with agricultural information systems that are close to real time based on remote sensing and other sensors, the availability of standardized and internationally validated data is urgently needed. Agricultural statistics are generally obtained through three main sources, namely: censuses, monographs on specific farms, and annual surveys. In general, there is a decline in the quality of data produced worldwide due to cost constraints. This implies the need for monitoring agricultural indicators using more cost-effective data collection and better analytical methods.
The Integrated Agricultural Survey (SITASI) adopted the Agricultural Integrated Survey (AGRIS) - FAO which was adapted to conditions in Indonesia. AGRIS is an integrated survey program carried out for ten years, used as the basis for the creation of an efficient agricultural statistics system. Citation is primarily used in designing and monitoring national policies. SITAS uses international references so that the quality of the resulting indicators is better.
